Being a gohst hunter isn’t that cheap

You probably don’t know this, but I’m passionate about paranormal stuff ( especially ghost hunting ). And one of my favorite TV shows is “Ghost Hunters”, featuring the guys from TAPS ( The Atlantic Paranormal Society ). Now those who are very skeptical when it comes about paranormal will say: “But there’s no such things as ghosts, spirits, or entities. It’s just someone’s overactive imagination! And if one can tell me he is actually hunting this kind of things, then he must be a bit crazy.” True..sometimes people DO have the impression that their house might be haunted just because it creeks. So they can start thinking “What am I gonna do now?!”.

Well, in this case, I would recommend them to try and debunk all those noises they hear and all those “shadows” they might catch moving on the walls. This can easily occur if the house they live in is old ( therefore, when you step on the wooden floor for example, it creeks ) or if a car that passes by your house’s window sends light from its headlights through the window, on the walls, creating what appear to be strange shadows. If you’ve managed to debunk all this, then your house ain’t haunted..so please, stop watching too many horror movies in just one night :) .

On the other hand, if you haven’t managed to find an explanation for all the strange happenings that take place in your home, then ask for some help from specialized paranormal investigators ( such as the above mentioned TAPS ).

But how can ghost hunting be expensive, you ask? Oh, you’ve probably read the title of this post, that’s why you’re wondering..The answer: because you need some pieces of equipment to help you with your investigation. You can’t just go to a supposedly haunted location with a flashlight and a video camera and say “Oh yeah, it’s definitely full of ghosts”. Won’t work that way. So, what do you actually need for a successful ghost hunt? I’ve thought at that question before you did and managed to compile a list with the equipment you need ( NOTE: this is by no means a complete list..It’s just a simple example of what you should have when going ghost hunting, with another 3 friends, for example ). Here it is:

1. 4 EMF ( Electro Magnetic Field ) Detectors x $79.99 = $319.96

2. 4 Digital Thermometers x $69.99 = $279.96

3. 4 Cassette Recorders x $23.99 = $95.96

4. 4 Digital Recorders x $49.99 = $199.96

5. 4 Army Style Flash Lights x $6.99 = $27.96

6. 4 Standard Flashlights x $9.99 = $39.96

7. 4 Head Lamps x $12.99 = $51.96

8. At least 2 bigger equipment cases and 2 smaller ones:

- 2 x $59.99 = $119.98

- 2 x $49.99 = $99.98

9. 4 Army Style Vests, with lots of pockets x $29.99 = $119.96

10. 1 CCTV Surveillance System x $2499.99 = $2499.99

11. 4 “Ghost Hunter” T-Shirts x $14.99 = $59.96

12. 4 Hooded Sweatshirts x $27.99 = $111.96

13. 4 “Ghost Hunter” Hats x $16.99 = $67.96

14. 4 Kodak Digital Cameras ( for taking photos at the location ) x $124.95 = $499.8

+ A few more items ( don’t want to make this list too long ). And it comes to a total of $5473.13 ( if you include the items that I’ve intentionally omitted from here ). Not to mention other costs, such as the gas for the car(s), equipment maintenance and so on. This is why I’ve said ghost hunting isn’t quite a cheap hobby, to call it so. And what’s even more interesting, is the fact that most of the paranormal investigators who are considered reputable, aren’t even gonna charge a dime for their investigations ( yeah, this isn’t a money making opportunity, if this is what you’re looking for )!

All in all, even though hunting ghosts might not be a piece of cake ( financially speaking ), I believe it still remains an interesting field, from where you can learn new things and have the opportunity to help the people who confront themselves with paranormal events. So, happy ghost hunting ;)

Welcome to my personal blog

Hello there. My name is Tiberius Burciu ( aka Midwest ) and I’d like to welcome you all to my new personal blog. This is not the first one I create, as I already author another one – http://www.myppcadvertising.info – which you probably know, and where I talk mainly about making money online, affiliate marketing, blogging tips and a few more interesting and related topics.

But you’re probably wonder why have I started yet another blog, if I already own one? Because from time to time I like to take a short break from the “Make Money Online” world and head over here and just talk about whatever I feel like I should be talking: be it the latest movie I watched or the latest model of car I’ve seen. Yep, you guessed it: this will be the place from some random ramblings :) . Hope you’ll enjoy your stay here and please feel free to leave me some comments, anytime you feel like doing so. Cheers!
